Title: Woman On A Couch
Weight: 5.0 lbs.
This is an abstract and cubist collage, painting I did of a woman sitting alone on a couch.
One side of her is bathed in light which represent a playful and coy manner. The other side is one of being doubtful and apprehensive. I used mostly oil with texture. There is also cloth and paper used. On the wall is a copied Picasso of a woman. I utilized burlap, painted over it and then took it off. It gave the wall a rough texture.

I am a Landscape Designer and artist that has lived and worked in Houston for 30 years. My primary venue is abstract and cubism. I've taken classes at St.Thomas University as well as studied courses at Glassel School of Art which is part of the MFA Houston.
Art is my life because it's an inclusive attribute of everything happening around us every day.As a landscape designer I have to create gardens that implement compenmentary colors as well as textural balances. On a canvas,I repeat this design concept also.
I have a varied subject matter but nature seems to predominate.I invite everyone to enjoy my gallery and e-mail or phone me directly if you have any questions. My paintings are exactly what you see.
I use original subject matter for all my pieces and mostly work with oils. My prices are affordable so I do have a turnover. My passion is art but designing landscapes is my trade. My art reflects my life and although I do a lot of landscapes,I do paint portraits and other subject matter quite frequently.

Scholarship to University of Oklahoma for my art entries.
I love the feeling that so much of my art is hanging in Houston homes. That's my biggest achievement.
I will be glad to give you references with e-mails of some people who own my art.
