Title: Willow Pond Reflections
36 x 48
Weight: 18.0 lbs.
Tadpoles and turtles... I'm late getting home, always late... always dirty, and always in trouble. We live by a creek and I wandered off further today than ever before.
I can't believe it. There it is, the willow pond... the stuff of legend! It's not really a pond, just a large bend in the creek, but to this kid, it is nothing short of amazing.
The giant willow tree soars overhead ready to launch into space. Turtles are sunning. Dragonflies, bees, and butterflies dance on the water as tiny tadpoles wiggle up the shore.
I turn to see the graceful arms of the willow drifting in the wind, gently flowing with such majesty and beauty. I hope I don't get the willow switch when I get home.

Charles A. Reyna is originally from Texas and now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He studied Art History at The University of Houston and The University of New Mexico, In 1998, Charles began his career as a self taught web and graphics artist. He has incorporated those skills learned as an artist/designer into his latest artistic endeavors. In late 2009, having sketched ideas for about a year, he started painting. His love for abstract art inspired him to make this genre the vehicle for his own unique contribution to art.
Creating art allows me to express what is inside me, telling the story of who I am. What an incredible feeling it is to bring life to a canvas. I paint abstract compositions with hints of representation, coloring the canvas with my own unique feelings and emotions free of all boundaries. The most rewarding part of making art is being able to share this journey with others. I love immersing myself in this vast world of artistic expression.
