Michele Morata is a devoted full-time award-winning artist. Her original paintings are sold throughout the U.S. and internationally thru exclusive art galleries, commissions, and art exhibits. She was born in Santa Monica, California, and raised in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and Southern California. She had her first memory of being a painter at the age of 4, when she was walking down the hallway of her home and found herself creating a spontaneous contemporary painting on the wall. She was enrolled in Montessori Kindergarten on the beach and became an artistic entrepreneur at an early age, winning her first monetary award and having her drawings published at age 6. At age 10, after winning numerous art awards throughout grade school, she began to produce large paintings based on imagery she had seen in dreams or imagined.
Michele is an eco-friendly artist and uses 'green' materials including water-based oils and 3 types of authentic crushed Stone from Italy which is considered eco-friendly, as well as international archival recyclable paper materials embedded underneath layers of oil in her textured series. She also uses eco-friendly water-based oils in her lightly or non-textured oil series.
Fine Art Painting is my primary chosen path of creative self-expression. Everyone has something they can do, which no one else can do. Every person can give a gift to the world, that no one else can give, the discovery of which lies sometimes buried within one's soul. One of my mother’s dreams was to be a professional artist, but she lacked confidence in herself and her talent. Before she died, she told me that she felt as if she had never "really lived." This had a profound impact on my life. After that, I made a lifetime promise to continue to paint in honor of my mother, to learn how to live my authentic creative truth, and to encourage others in the journey to discover who they really are. My life mission is to brighten, entertain, and help heal our world through my creative talents ... and I accomplish this vision through my colorful canvases. Thank you for supporting the collective dream of all artists, past, present, and future.
