The colors remind me of a summer morning here in the mountains of Colorado where I live and get inspiration for my art.
This abstract landscape was painted using Yarka watercolor pigments on Arches acid-free cotton rag archival quality paper.

Graduated summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University in 1983 with a BBA in Marketing. I ran a marketing research firm in Ann Arbor, Michigan for 17 years before moving to the mountains of Colorado and getting back into art. I've been a ceramic artist since 2001 and recently returned to painting in 2014 after a many year hiatus. My ceramic art is in collections throughout the world, and my watercolor paintings are just starting to gain a following.
Painting was my first love back in college, but I hadn't gotten back to it until recently. I'm also known as a ceramic artist who creates home decor items in contemporary glaze colors. I live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado and draw much of my inspiration from the landscape, flora and fauna of the area. I also spend time in the desert of southern Utah and have fallen in love with the colors and landscapes there.
Mostly self-taught, except for a few college classes and workshops that I've attended over the years. My degree is in business but I've been a professional artist for the past 15 years with both a physical gallery/studio and an online shop.
My art is in private collections all over the world, but I rarely enter shows or competitions.
