Annemarie Hall

Biography

Annemarie Hall uses vibrant, pure, saturated oil paint colors in layers of opaque and translucent paint blended with expressive line-work, to create a body of original fine art that balances the bold movements of the paintbrush with the energy and spirit of a place in time.

Figures emerge from the layers of paint, often carved out of the background. Shapes collide, lines define, and colors vibrate. Landscapes are revealed as bold brush strokes move through the painting to gather definition while engaging the viewer to pause and place their own details to complete the composition. Always, there is color, movement, and a playful energy.

Ms. Hall received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Guelph, Canada.
