This image from photographer Kenneth Tripp’s “Street Rod Photography” series is titled "Pontiac in Red".  It is a unique view of an old Pontiac hood ornament in red with purple background.  A great memory for the old Pontiac brand. 

Print Matting

Mats are made of bright white 100% cotton museum board. The 4 ply beveled window has 2 ply backing board hinged to the board on the long side with linen tape. Archival tape is used to adhere the photograph to the backing.

Kenneth Tripp

Biography

Ken has been involved in photography off and on for over 40 years.  He has worked in many disciplines including 16mm film production, 35mm  and 4x5 film up to  modern digital cameras of today.  In earlier years he  has had a one-man show in Walpole MA, to help commemorate the 200th anniversary of the town. Over 25 prints  of his work are currently on permanent display at the Monogram Experience Center, a corporate training facility of GE in Louisville, Kentucky.


Artist Statement

I want the observer of my photographs to see how pure an image can be.  I believe the beauty of a photograph is based on its simplicity.


Art Education

Ken studied studio photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston.  He also studied landscape photography workshops under such world renowned photographers as George Lepp of Outdoor Photography Magazine, the late Galen Rowell, John Shaw, and Bill Fortney

 


Awards

  • Kenneth Tripp has a permanent display of photographic murals at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston
  • Exhibited at a juried photo exhibition at the Governor's Mansion, Frankfurt Kentucky.
  • Ken is a member of the Louisville Photographic Society where he has one several awards. 
  • He is also a member of the Texas Photo Society where he is also being considered in ongoing international exhibitions. 
  • Street Rod Photographs are part of permanent exhibit at the Monogram Experience Center, Louisville, KY
