Susan Jarecky
Biography
Susan Jarecky began her art career at the age of 4. Always with pencil, crayon, or brush in hand, many people of influence encouraged and inspired her love for art, realizing early on this was a true passion and talent that would be developed. In 1980, Susan entered university for her Bachelor’s of Art degree. In 1981, she was accepted into a summer apprenticeship for an architectural illustration firm. The fast pace, technical learning challenges, and great salary, were all it took to sweep her up into a world she hadn’t known to exist. For the next 30 years, Susan was sole proprietor of her own company and built the reputation of a well respected architectural illustrator of global projects, working with architects nationwide. Recently, Susan has seized the opportunity to return to her true love of oil painting. She made her formal debut in Laguna Beach’s 2011 Festival of Arts show, and has been recognized and won awards in "plein air" competitions. Her work is on permanent display at Mission Fine Art Gallery, in San Juan Capistrano, CA, as well as corporate offices throughout Orange County. Susan is a native of Southern California and resides in Dana Point. She is an active member of SoCalPAPA, LPAPA, Woman Artists of the West and American Impressionist Society.Artist Statement
"Since early childhood, the act of visual creation has always been the most powerful motivation in my life. I look at my art as sensory interpretations of the beauty I see and feel all around me, the deepest way I know of expressing my experience of being human. I paint to share this experience with others because it’s what makes me truly happy."Art Education
