Artist Statement

Urban Elements reflects my fascination with elements, even details, of the urban environment. It is my hope that my photographs offer an unexpected  view of that environment, which sometimes morph into unexpected color harmonies.  I have explored this fascination for years. I grew up with the inspiration of my father, a wonderfully talented advertising executive whose passion in turn was photography, and of an uncle who worked years ago with Yousuf Karsh and Edwin Land.  My personal expectation is that these photographs would be shown to greatest advantage in large format in corporate or public spaces.
