Title: It Never Rains in Southern California
8ft by 6ft
Weight: 25.0 lbs.
This is one of my largest and most sought after pieces. It's been in 3 shows thus far and continues to get alot of attention. The piece is a polyptych on 5 panels created from Mixed media. The depiction is an abstraction of the coast of Los Angeles , the bottom core are tectonic plates. Ive heard many theories as to what they are, but in my conception they are the plates shifting under the earth.
The title is poking fun at California's "perfect weather" reputation because it does have other active weather issues like earthquakes and forrest fires.
