Joe Reimer
Biography
Joe Reimer is a Canadian artist based out of Edmonton, Alberta. His works are full of movement, texture, colour, and emotion. Although many great artists have inspired his work, Joe prides himself on creating art that is unique in both style and composition. He finds inspiration for his art from many different sources, which can be seen in the diversity of his works. Currently, he is a full-time art and math teacher at a secondary school in the Edmonton area. Artist Statement
Art for me is simply an expression of my creativity; I find it very difficult to go more than a few days without doing something creative. Whether it's painting, drawing or photography, I first and foremost make art for me. I never exhibit work that I myself don't enjoy. In all of my pieces, I use colour and movement to capture the viewers attention and draw them through the work of art. My work is also an expression of my spirituality, which is a very important aspect of my life.

Joe, Thanks so much for the credit towards another piece of your work. I would love to have your opinion on putting The Queen's Request hanging with Betrayal even though they're not the same in size?

Thank you very much for your purchase. It's always great as an artist to know my work is appreciated. As with many of my figurative and portrait pieces, this piece to me represents the hope we must find in order to move on. I think we all feel betrayed at times, so I see her taking control and rising above that. Of course, art is about making our own interpretations, but that is what this piece means to me.
