Welcome to the Colorado Rockies. Where Aspens quake with elegance and mother nature turns them into a light show in the Fall.

My motivation to paint comes from a sincere appreciation for the beauty of the West. Robert was born in Nebraska but his family roots hail from Craig Colorado; the western slope. Summers were spent on the ranch, well doing ranch stuff; sleeping in down beds, milking the cows for the morning breakfast and eating the biscuits cooked on a wood-burning stove.
I have always spent time staring at the beauty that God has provided Colorado and capturing that magic through painting is challenging. My uncle was the game warden for the Steamboat area, as I like to say he was the real deal. We would go out for days at a time living off of the land. Art came into my life early then life managed to get away from me until now. I continue to respect the glory that is Colorado and try and do it justice, but only God can do that. My early art was in pastels, but now my chosen medium is watercolor; as it lends an mysterious quality to a painting. I have been working at the USAF Academy Stables for the last few years taking care of 150 head of magnificent animals. I guess truth be known I would work for nothing… except the time around the horses. My other gift is working as an Equine Specialist with military troops that are diagnosed with PTSD and TBI. I can't begin to give back to them what they deserve from us. The horse is a critical piece to helping solve the problems. If you choose to purchase a piece of my art then I thank you and will make certain part of it goes to a worthy cause. Well I guess that is all I have to say about that. Oh one last thing, the only reason to ride a bull at my age is to meet a nurse.
Self taught and always a student.
