Guestbook Application
TheArtGallerist.com provides a fine art gallery “open house” experience
It is extremely valuable for potential customers to have the opportunity to get to know you, the artist, as they make their purchase decision. Our “Guestbook” allows a potential customer to communicate directly with you, allowing you to participate as we sell your original fine art. Brick and mortar galleries sometime provide artists with such opportunities when they sponsor open houses, art walks, or other events that allow customers to meet artists.
One might argue that an open house is more exciting with all the people, the wine and the cheese. While that may be true, these brick and mortar gallery events are infrequent, require you to be there for a specific period of time, don’t appeal to shy people, and have a very small likelihood of attracting new customers.
Our Guestbook is available to potential customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and doesn’t require your attendance at any specific time. Potential customers will not have to fight their fears or others for a turn with you, and they will still be able to comment on your fine art work, ask questions about what inspired you, or inquire about the techniques you used in a particular piece of your original art.
This is a powerful feature of the website that has been built and provided to help generate original art sales for you. Please respect us and your fellow artists by honoring our Terms of Use and the Agreement you signed during the application process. Included in the Agreement was language saying that you would never attempt to solicit for direct sales any of the people that may contact you via the Guestbook. Circumventing or attempting to exclude the company from any current or future transaction is damaging to your reputation and to that of TheArtGallerist.com. Our ability to stay in business and to successfully promote the work of all of our artists relies heavily on your integrity. Your customers and colleagues trust you, so please don’t disappoint them.
While it may be tempting, never agree to meet or disclose any information on how you can be contacted outside of the TheArtGallerist.com website. You should also never ask the person with whom you are communicating for their contact information.
Any discovered violations of this policy will be met with the termination of your account.
