Commissions and Payments

Commissions - There are no fees for artists to upload and exhibit their original art, photography or fine art prints. 

Instead, a small commission will be taken only when a piece of original art sells.   The amount of commission taken depends upon the sales price of the art.

• Fine Art selling for more than $1,500, the commission rate is 25%.

• Fine Art selling for $1,500 or less, the commission rate is 35%.  

 
Most of the commission dollars generated by TheArtGallerist.com will be used to continue to advertise and promote the artist and the availability of their original fine art and limited edition prints through the online gallery.

 
Artists Payments

Commissions will be paid to artists on the first day of each month for all completed orders received during the previous month.   An order is considered completed after it is received by the customer, and after the Satisfaction Guarantee period has ended (7 days after customers receipt). 

 
We do not collect a commission fee on fine art sale transactions conducted outside of our system.
